  • Is Food Provided?

Food for all meals needs to be brought from home. Please note that we are an allergy aware service and ask that you please avoid nuts and eggs when packing your child’s lunch box.

  • Can We Do Birthday Cake for My Child’s Birthday?

Parents can provide a Birthday Cake for their child to celebrate their birthday. The cake will be shared at afternoon tea so please allow for each child to have a small portion. Cupcakes are preferred for this reason and for health & safety reasons.

Parents are required to notify educators prior to the child’s birthday to enable us to prepare for it.

Cake should be of plain i.e., butter cake, cupcakes, or sponge cake.

Parents are required to supply candles; matches, party accessories, lolly bags and other party apparel are optional. Lolly bags will be given to the children on departure.

  • How Much Are Your Fees?

Fees are required to be kept one week in advance. Invoice/Statements will be issued Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly or 4 Weekly depending on your selection noted on the Direct Debit Request Bank or Credit Card payment Application.

Fees are currently – 2-3 Years $99.50 per day, 3-5 Years $94.50 per day.

Note: We do try to keep our fees as affordable as possible, however, a small fee increase may be applied every January and possibly in July or August subject to unavoidable rises in cost of operation incurred during the first half of the year.

All days for which your child is enrolled must be paid for including sick days, absence for other reasons, or for holidays taken during Little Stars operating weeks.

As we are an approved centre, eligible family’s may be able to receive the Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

To apply for the CCS families must contact the Family Assistance Office (FAO – Centrelink) prior to enrolling. The Family Assistance Office will provide you and your child with individual CRN’s (Customer Reference Number) a copy of which should be provided on enrolment.

It is our preference that fees are paid by through the iDebitPro scheme. (Direct Debit Request Bank Account or Credit Card payment applications and Terms and Conditions are enclosed with the Enrolment package).

A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice in writing must be given for withdrawing a child or 2 weeks in lieu will be payable.

An amount of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) is to be paid at the time of enrolment. This represents a refundable Security Deposit to be offset against unpaid fees or leaving without suitable notification.

  • How Can I Help My Child Settle into Care?

Coming to a new centre may be daunting for both parent and child.

We have an orientation process to help you and your child settle and become familiar with their surroundings and educators. A minimum of two days orientation is highly recommended, at no additional cost.

On their first day it is a good idea to stay for a short time and do some activities with your child rather than going immediately.

Your child may have a comforter (particular blanket or toy) that is a favourite of theirs, which can be brought to the centre to help with the settling in period.

Routinely say “Goodbye” to you child when leaving so they know you are leaving and can focus on the next activity.

We insist on an early pick up on their first day. This will be discussed during the enrolment process.

  • How Has the School Readiness Program Been Prepared?

The School Readiness Program has been explicitly constructed using the K Curriculum. The School Readiness Program runs for one hour each day.

The curriculum we follow the rest of the time is learning through play.
